My birthday spent in paradise aka Zanzibar!

Thanks to my amazing husband, parents and inlaws I got a surprise trip to Zanzibar for my 30th birthday. When I say surprise, it really was a surprise. I had no clue where we were going until we were at the airport actually checking in to our flight. Jason would not tell me where we were going or really even how to pack. It was an amazing long weekend and I could not have asked for a more beautiful place or better company!

Where we ate breakfast and had our coffee every morning.

I enjoyed a lot of hammock time!

The view from our balcony.

We chartered a dhow (boat that is behind us) for two hours. Just me, Jason and the captain:)

A visit from our parents (Safari will be a separate blog)

Our parents were here in TZ for 3 weeks. It came and went way too quickly. We had a lot of fun and got a lot of work with WIL done. We celebrated 2 birthdays (moms and Jans), built 3 chicken coups, bought 50 chickens, passed out food, toys and supplies, went on Safari, bought a sewing machine, spent a day at Maji Moto (hot water springs) went to the snake farm and rode the camels, we ate out a lot, we watched the entire first season of An Idiot Abroad, we laughed, we had an amazing 3 weeks and we miss our parents...These pictures are not in order:)
